The New York Liberty won the WNBA's draft lottery for a second consecutive year and will select first at the league's 2021 draft in April.

The Liberty had the highest chance of landing the top pick (44.2 percent) in Friday's lottery after having the worst record in the WNBA last season a 2-20 and a 12-44 mark over the past two seasons combined. Draft odds were calculated using a team's cumulative record over the past two regular seasons.

The Dallas Wings will have the second pick in the draft while the Atlanta Dream will select third and the Indiana Fever pick fourth. All four of those teams missed this year's playoffs.

New York made Oregon's Sabrina Ionescu the top overall draft pick in the most recent WNBA draft, but she played just three games in the league's bubble at Bradenton, Fla., because of a severely sprained ankle.

Ionescu's full potential was on display in the second game of her professional career when she compiled 33 points, seven rebounds and seven assists against the Wings.

New York, Dallas, Indiana and Atlanta also had the top four picks, in that order, during last year's draft. Dallas selected Oregon's Satou Sabally, Indiana picked Baylor's Lauren Cox and Atlanta selected Texas AM's Chennedy Carter.

Dallas also will have the No. 5 selection in the 2021 draft (from Washington via New York) and the No. 7 selection (from Chicago). The Liberty had three selections in the first round of the 2020 draft.

Phoenix has Connecticut's pick at No. 6, Chicago has Phoenix's pick (via Dallas) at No. 8, while Minnesota, Los Angeles, Seattle and Las Vegas close out the first-round selections.
