Thursday's Big East game between Connecticut and No. 3 Villanova in Storrs, Conn., was postponed after a positive COVID-19 test by an official who worked the Huskies' last game.
UConn was also forced to postpone Sunday's game at St. John's.
"The Huskies will enter into a daily testing protocol and a modified quarantine. The team will not compete against an outside opponent until it is deemed safe by medical professionals," UConn said on its official website.
A game official tested positive for the virus after working UConn's 63-51 home win against Butler on Tuesday night.
This is the third stoppage for UConn (8-3, 5-3 Big East), which paused in November and December due to outbreaks within its own program. These are the ninth and 10th games on its schedule that have been either canceled or postponed.
The Huskies' next scheduled game is Feb. 6 at home vs. Seton Hall with three makeup dates (vs. Xavier, Villanova and St. John's) pending.
Villanova (10-1, 5-0) is scheduled to play at Seton Hall on Saturday.
